Speaker Bio
Dr. Petr Musilek is a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Associate Dean of Research Partnerships and Initiatives in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Alberta, Canada. He is the Founding Director of the Alberta Power Industry Innovation Center (APIC), where he works to facilitate collaboration between academia and major energy industry stakeholders. Dr. Musilek’s research centers on Responsible AI, with a focus on bridging the gap between advanced data science and the physical realities of critical infrastructure to build resilient and sustainable energy systems. Active in the international engineering community, he recently served as General Chair of the IEEE International Conference on Humanitarian Technology and has delivered recent keynotes and tutorials at major IEEE conferences on intelligent, equitable energy systems.
